After 3 years of working there, I have officially left my retail job working for Matalan. After finishing my university degree, graduating over the summer and also hitting the 3 year mark in this job role I've been feeling restless about my future and my career. I feel I need to explore a completely new career path or workplace environment and see where that takes me.
I am sad to leave Matalan though as I've loved working there; it has been the best place I've worked so far in my life, I've enjoyed the work, the team are great and I've made friends for life who I know I'll keep in touch with long after leaving. But now I'm ready to move on to this brand new chapter.
To mark the occasion I wore my favourite black velvet and spotted mesh playsuit from Oh My Love for my leaving meal at Luciano's restaurant with all my favourite work pals, which also was timed alongside two of my friends, Alice and Craig celebrating their birthdays too. It was a lovely evening to celebrate the end of this chapter of my life and I was spoilt rotten by all my wonderful friends who kindly surprised me with cards and gifts.
