Hardwick Hall Charity Event With Matalan

Last night was amazing! I attended a charity ball held to raise money for the NSPCC with my friends and colleagues from Matalan. The event was held at Hardwick Hall which was a gorgeous venue situated next to such a peaceful and scenic view of a lake which looked so pretty on the evening. Before the event I had a couple of the girls from work over at my house to get ready altogether beforehand which was really cute.We all decided to go all out and get really dressed up for the occasion and personally I think we all looked fab! It was a really fun event for such a great cause, I particularly enjoyed the rowdy auction and the dancing towards the end of the night. It was lovely to spend more time with my favourite people. I'm one very happy lady :D Please excuse the fact the quality of these photographs are not up to scratch.

What I Wore

I had spent a month trying to decide on an outfit and was in debate about how formal I would go. Conveniently I have been having a HUGE room clear out and stumbled upon this old dress from Topshop which I've had for about 2 years now and was convinced by the girls and my Mam to wear it. I did team the dress with some nude heels but I didn't choose to show them as my dress covered them anyway. I decided to keep my jewellery minimal so I decided on small earrings and this cuff I bought in New Look when I was in town the other day. For my makeup and skincare I wanted to look tanned and bronzed as I felt the shimmery dress may have made my skin look washed out if I didn't so I applied the Rimmel London false tan to get the desired look I was going for.
