I've noticed there's been a trend going around on Instagram rather recently of images that portray a retro appearance with brightly coloured lens flares and grainy textures and found them really gorgeous to look at. After watching a video by DevonOnDeck, I found out it was a new app called Huji Cam which is an app that allows you to create these retro looking images. As someone who adores the effects of this style of photography I instantly downloaded it.
The idea behind the app is to create images like a disposable camera. The effects of the images will be completely random, some will be really strong flares with lots of colour and some maybe more subtle so it's really interesting to see how the image comes out. For me, it's all part of the fun of it, ti gives the photograph more character. The app has options for using the shutter, the flash and the lab. The lab option displays all the images you have taken or imported. For 99p you can have the option to import you images from your camera roll and play around with the effects on them so I decided to give it a try on some of my old images and show you a few favourites that came out of it. It is safe to say I am officially addicted to this app now!

As you can see I had a whale of a time using this app. I definitely went overboard but I hope you enjoyed the photographs and seeing the different effects they had created. Have you tried the Huji Cam App? Would you try it? Let me know what you think :)
