New Year's Eve Prep. 2012

Hello lovelies!
As we all know, tonight is the last night of 2012! And what a year it has been! One of the best I've had in a long time I think :) I feel like I have done so much, made new friends and have made some brilliant memories that I can carry into the new year :) Although a part of me has a really annoying niggly feeling that something bad is going to happen in 2013 and it makes me a little uneasy, however regardless of that I will try to remain positive! Anyway for tonight's post, I've decided to go all out and do a sort of 'get ready with me' type post on how I prepared myself before going out tonight:

I begin pampering myself with my favourite Palmolive body lotion :) I usually go for the Honey one although I've also tried Coconut, Olive and Almond to change things up once in a while, they are all really good however Honey is my favourite. It feels so soft on my skin and it smells delicious! They are all really good products and I highly recommend them.

Next I go washing my brunette locks with Treseme 24 hour body shampoo. I use this to give my hair a bit of oomph and volume as my hair is usually quite fine and can look flat when not done properly which is really unflattering on me so I find this shampoo helps with that problem. I like my hair to look messy and untamed, not super straight. I didn't include conditioner as I'm really not a big user of it as again can make my hair look even more horrendously flat so I try to avoid that as much as possible.Whilst leaving my hair to dry a little naturally before going over it with a hairdryer, I then fetch out my favourite moisturiser of all time! I came about this moisturiser due to a little sample bottle that was given with a magazine I had bought and I thought I would try it out and when I did I was very impressed with the result! I've tried a few moisturisers over the years and this is by far the one that stands out the most and I've repurchased again where as other products I have not. Normally I'll only use a little bit on my cheeks as the winter can really dry them out, but today I thought I'd go all out and smother my face in it as a little pamper sesh for my face. The end result gives a lovely healthy dewy glow to the skin.

Next up is the smelly stuff! I decided to go for my new DKNY Be Delicious Paris perfume that I got for Christmas off my Gran (thanks Gran!), it smells lovely, not too fruity and not too strong either so it doesn't over power you like some perfumes can. I adore DKNY perfumes and have tried a few here and there to mix things up a little but the original Be Delicious (green bottle) is my absolutely favourite, I've gone through so many it's ridiculous!
Next up is the makeup and jewellery. I like to keep my makeup pretty natural looking for the most part but for evenings I'll either add a bright lipstick or some false eyelashes but I don't really need to use them that much as my eyelashes are pretty long anyway. I'm ringing in the new year by going for a meal so I think falsies would be a bit o.t.t. for tonight so I've chosen a hot pink lipstick, deep red nails and my new adorable Vivienne Westwood teddy bear earrings ;) So cute! Finally my gorgeous sparkly sequinned dress for tonight which I haven't worn since last New Year's Eve! I do absolutely love it but it's sort of hard to find an occasion to wear it so much without it looking too over the top. I think I have set myself a little tradition now to wear it every New Year's Eve ;) Anyway I'm off to celebrate the end of a fantastic year at Lucianos. Food and Champagne at the ready guys!

Bring on 2013! XD
Have a fantastic night everyone! ;)
