I was fortunate enough to get my hands on tickets to see the incredibly popular Liam Gallagher at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. I was highly anticipating this gig the second I received the email advertisement in my inbox and even more so after finding out he'd be also be playing many Oasis hits. Being a huge Oasis fan from a young age, I'd been lucky enough to see them at the Stadium of Light when they toured back in 2009 so I couldn't wait to relive those memories all over again for the As You Were tour.
The set list there was good mix of old and new and as predicted the gig was incredible and the atmosphere was fantastic! All the die hard fans belting out the classics at the top of their lungs and jumping around like lunatics to the iconic guitar and drum riffs (self included), the excitement from the crowd having one of their favourite musical icons on their home turf was contagious and I loved every single second of it!
