After decluttering my wardrobes this week, I discovered an old sleeveless dress I bought at a concession in Topshop from a while ago with a cream top and this black glittery tulle skirt. The dress I always felt was more suited to be worn on an evening such as a formal occasion or a night out. I always loved the detailing of the skirt but the plain cream top felt a bit bland to me. However when trying the dress on again to see if it still fit, it was too small on me and I noticed the stitching that connected the materials together was starting to come away at the striped waistband. It was at this point I had a lightbulb moment and decided to cut the stitching off the entire outfit, donate the top (which was now essentially a crop top) and keep the bottom half as a cute little skirt. I'm so happy with how it looks! I feel like I can style it with much more now. Yay!
