Happy Valentine's Day!
Hope you have had a lovely day whether you celebrate this occasion or not. For me, this evening has been well spent. I donned my new Whistles dress teamed with my trademark green Topshop coat and flats and headed out to meet Dan after he finished work. Dan and I met in Newcastle to go to Marco Polo restaurant to celebrate the occasion.
We then stuffed our faces with food, I recommend the king scallops, followed by the penne carbonara. I'm a creature of habit when it comes to pastas I must confess, but – in my opinion, this restaurant does the most delicious and richest flavoured carbonara I've ever tasted. It can fill you up quickly but so worth it for how mouth watering it tastes. I washed it down with an Italian margarita cocktail to finish.
We then had a pleasant stroll along the quayside where we saw the Gateshead Millennium Bridge all lit up before we headed home to exchange gifts. All in all a very lovely evening!
