Riviera Maya, Mexico Via Iphone

Ever have those holidays where you plan a mix of both relaxation and activities and you get it just right? That's what Mexico was like for me.

Mexico was the perfect combination of activities mixed with plenty of relaxation in between. Being completely in my element sipping margarita cocktails throughout the day whilst reading my book and relaxing in the pool, gorging on pancakes and fried egg breakfasts every morning and being completely spoilt for choice on an evening with the seven restaurants on offer for food at the El Dorado Hotel By Karisma. Wonderful memories were made throughout with a day trip to Xel-Ha Park to swim with the dolphins, fly down the zip line and snorkel with the fish. Followed by a culturally rich trip to the Coba Maya Traditions tour where we saw the ruins, visited a mayan home in one of the villages and met two ladies who lived there who cooked us tortillas and then we saw a cute dog and rabbit in the gardens of the home before then heading off to our next stop, where we went swimming in the most beautiful cenote I have ever seen and finishing off the day trip with trying different shots of tequila (the vanilla flavoured one was delicious fyi!). Although I returned home with one of the worst sunburns I've ever had (blisters and all!), it was a wonderful holiday and I returned feeling completely replenished and ready to get back to reality.

Today, I thought I'd share with you all some of my Instagram snaps I took whilst I was in Rivieria Maya, Mexico as a little taster and highlight reel before I post the official travel diaries over on this blog, so I hope you enjoy them!

Thanks for reading!
