End Of November Update

I realise it's been a short while since I've posted on here. I've been a busy little bee lately and honestly, it's been quite overwhelming how much I need to do in a short space of time. It's that time of the year in retail when the seasonal rush starts before Christmas so things have been manic at work leaving me drained by the time I get home.

When I've not been working I've been stressing over other things and attempting to get myself organised with my Christmas shopping. I know I'll get it sorted eventually. On one of my trips I treated myself in Cath Kidston to a star jumper which you saw featured in my last post and I fell in love with this adorable and super soft teddy, who now resides on my bedside table. I tried to originally give myself a goal of being finished with my Christmas shopping by November, Ha! Fat chance! My family can be the worst for not telling me early on what presents they want, so I'm about half the way through my Christmas shopping. Luckily I have a few ideas for presents now so I just need to get my ass into gear and go out and get them!

On my days off I've needed some days to just relax and not do much that is physically or mentally strenuous. Which basically means I've been playing The Sims 2* or Nintendogs* when I'm feeling lazy, which is 98% of the time recently haha. But when it is cold and miserable I don't really want to force myself to do my makeup, hair and plan outfit posts when I don't have the motivation for it and when its freezing outside. I'd rather be snuggled in bed playing on whichever video game has my interest that day. Although I have felt like writing and planning blog posts on other topics. Mainly ones that require staying indoors, ha!

So what have I been up to in my absence? Well here's a little update for you all. I went to see John Bishop's Supersonic Tour* which was really funny! I admit he didn't make my face ache from laughing so hard the way Russel Howard did, but it was still a great show and I'm so pleased I got to see one of my favourite comedians live!

This was my 'fotd' and 'ootd' beforehand (Dress: Missguided). I do apologise for some recent photographs lately of myself, as I tend to look a bit miserable. I'm swear I'm not, I don't know what it is lately but I try and smile and I either have crazy eyes or an awkward smile haha! Sad times!

The girls from work and I had a get together (outfit below) for our friend Jess, who has left for a different job. I'm really going to miss seeing her beautiful face and cheerful presence in work but I am also so pleased for her embarking on a new career and I wish her all the best :D The rest of the girls and I had planned a surprise bouquet of flowers for her and Frozen related goodies as leaving presents.

A few of us celebrated a combined Jess's leaving do, Alice's 19th and Craig's 21st birthdays with a night out which was a great laugh! Particularly in one bar where they played cheesy tunes on all night, which are my fave on a night out so I was loving life ;)

Lastly my Dad is currently away for 2 weeks so I'm looking forward to spending some quality mother-daughter time with my Mam as I don't get to do that very often due to us both having busy work schedules. There is talk of going for a lovely Italian meal together this weekend and decorating the Christmas tree which I'm looking forward to. Can't wait!

I'm planning a festive themed blog post coming up on here very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. And thank you for all the recent follows, I am honestly so grateful! I really do appreciate all who take the time to read this small corner of the internet and I'm so happy that people enjoy it <3

Thanks for reading! <3
