How I Spent My New Year's Eve 2020

Happy New Year!

Compared to last New Year's Eve, I had a much more chilled out one. It didn't involve me being drunk with my best friends, dancing in a bar, shouting the countdown out with the crowd and the big cheerful atmosphere when everyone celebrated ringing in the New Year. This year was far more relaxed for saying "good riddance" to 2020. After being such a tumulus year for most, it was good to sit back, virtually hang out with my best friends playing trivia, having a laugh and see the new year in with the usual spark of optimism that seems to possess me at this time of year.

This past year saw us say goodbye to a lot of things important to us, experience big losses and life changes, but also appreciate the positives and what we have got to look forward to in 2021. I admit even my optimistic outlook on life was tested a few times this year but I'm going into this new year feeling hopeful. Hopeful for all of us that life will be far better and brighter this year than 2020. Best wishes everyone for 2021 and always!
