After feeling a bit low the past couple of weeks due the miserable weather, being back on furlough again after the latest government announcement and lacking any sort of motivation. I knew I needed something to give me a little pick me up on those days where it was hitting me the hardest. Something I knew would bring an instant smile to my face. And I found it on my most recent food shopping trip to
Marks & Spencer with my Gran. A small bouquet of bright yellow daffodils. My favourite <3 Incase that wasn't obvious already ;) I didn't even know daffodils could grow this time of year, so this was a pleasant surprise! (and only £1 as well, bargain!)
The day after I'd bought them, the buds had opened to display a gorgeous array of sunshine and yolk yellow daffodils. They make me so happy and already I can feel a positive shift to my mood. I have them pride of place on my window sill so they are the first thing to grab my attention when I'm cosied up in bed on my laptop (like I currently am). On days like today where the sky is grey and the trees outside are bare, they have been a splash of colour and an instant mood booster. It's the little things that make a big difference, as that old cliché says and it's so apt right now!
