A Spontaneous Trip & Haul

Do you ever get those days where you wake up just feeling restless? Not for any particular reason either but you feel this need to just get out of the house and do something with your day? That was me this morning. Which is surprising as I've had a pretty busy week of catching up with friends, so I was surprised at myself for not wanting my only free day to involve lazing about in bed doing nothing.

I knew I wanted to get out of the house and drive somewhere, just anywhere that I felt I could kill some time and wander about aimlessly and found myself driving to the Metro Centre in Gateshead. I found myself mulling over two menswear borg lined denim jackets in Primark. I'd recently gave away my old one that I used to wear religiously as it didn't fit me anymore (sob!) and made a mental note to replace it with a new one when I could be bothered. I just happened to stumble across the exact colour I was looking for without even intending to look for one so that was a good stroke of luck! I'd also been after a one in black too which I found as well so I have my go-to jackets ready for Spring/Summer and Autumn.

One of the reasons I felt compelled to venture to the Metro Centre was for Victoria's Secret. After browsing their website and forever scrolling, I had seen a few pieces I liked that I wanted to try on so that was my next stop. I came out with a few pieces I was happy with and some cute, light pyjama bottoms. I amazingly managed to avoid their PINK section of the store and not come out with my kryptonite items: jogger bottoms.

Afterwards I ventured to Paperchase looking for birthday cards for my friends and stumbled upon some cute postcards. As I did in this blog post many years ago, I put one of the new postcards in the picture frame as a little decorative piece for my room and I will put it on my bedside table. My personal favourite of the cards is definitely that image of the Dalmatian puppy with the hearts for spots. Especially with Valentine's Day coming up I felt it was well suited and generally just a cute photo to look at.

I topped the spontaneous trip off with a refuel stop at MOD Pizza. A pizza margherita topped with mushrooms and chunks of parmesan cheese which was bloody divine! And the perfect end to this little trip out.
